Mary L. Waltari has been a practicing attorney for over 25 years graduating from the
University of San Diego School of law. After beginning her career in business and securities
litigation, she turned her focus to special needs planning, estate planning, conservatorships,
probate, and trust matters.

She is a member of the Special Needs Alliance, a national
organization of selected attorneys who specialize in disability and public benefits law and who
advocate for changes in the law. She counsels family members and also represents private
fiduciaries, corporate trustees and attorneys to establish and administer court-created special
needs trusts. She is a recognized speaker regarding estate planning, public benefits,
conservatorships and special needs trusts. Mary is an update author for the CEB publication on
Special Needs Trusts, Planning, Drafting and Administration.
