Deborah L. Fox is the founding principal of Fox Probate Group, where she focuses her practice on estate and incapacity planning, conservatorships and alternatives, probate and trust administration, and the mediation of related disputes. A board-certified specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization, Ms. Fox brings nearly two decades of legal experience to her work with individuals and families navigating complex life transitions.
Ms. Fox graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2004. Before entering the legal profession, she worked as a geriatric case manager. This experience informs her thoughtful and compassionate approach to legal advocacy, particularly when working with older adults and individuals facing cognitive or functional challenges.
Before founding her firm in 2017, Ms. Fox practiced at several well-regarded probate law firms for over a decade. She serves on multiple court-appointed panels, representing proposed conservatees and legally incapacitated individuals. Her commitment to vulnerable populations is further reflected in her community involvement, including service on the boards of Legal Assistance to the Elderly and the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.
