David Sherak, Esq.


David Sherak is the managing partner of the firm of Vogt,
Resnick & Sherak. The firm maintains offices in Newport Beach and Los
Angeles and for 44 years has been focused on represenEng business
and their individual owners in all facets of tax, administraEon and
estate planning.
Mr. Sherak principally devotes his Eme in assisEng families and
corporate fiduciaries in all aspects of estate planning, probate, trust
and conservatorship law, including probate and trust liEgaEon. Mr.
Sherak also counsels businesses through a wide range of transacEonal
issues, including partnership and corporate formaEon, mergers,
dissoluEon and taxaEon.

Mr. Sherak is a member of the California State Bar and is a CerEfied Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust
and Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal SpecializaEon. Mr. Sherak parEcipates in
the Trust and Estates SecEon of the Orange County Bar AssociaEon and California State Bar. He is
licensed to pracEce before all of the United States District Courts in California and the United States Tax
Court. Mr. Sherak is also a licensed broker with the California Department of Real Estate.
Mr. Sherak’s community involvement includes membership in the Orange County Chapter of the Planned
Giving Roundtable and South Orange County Estate Planning Council. Mr. Sherak volunteers his Eme to
be a regular speaker and advisor on topics such as planned giving, estate planning, special needs,
business, tax and mergers & acquisiEons for organizaEons such as CHOC, DSFOC, Chapman University,
Olive Crest, CalCPA, and banking insEtuEons. Mr. Sherak also taught at Cal State Fullerton’s Professional
Fiduciary program.
Mr. Sherak received his juris doctor degree from Chapman University School of Law, where he served on
the Honors Appellate Moot Court Board, received academic disEncEon in taxaEon of business
organizaEons, and completed their Tax Emphasis program concurrent with his law degree. He graduated
cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree from San Diego State University, California.
